A MESSAGE FROM THE MASTER

Greetings from Wayzata Lodge #205

From the East

Brothers,

At the March Stated Meeting we initiated two new brothers Nick Leviton and Eric Berg as Entered Apprentices, who will be passed on April 21st to the degree of a Fellow Craft.

Late March saw Grand Lodge and the installation of MWB John Cook as our new Grand Master of Masons in MN.   He was installed by our own MWB Neil Neddermeyer.  From Wayzata we had in attendance 7 brothers:

WB Andrew Brennan, Charlie Leflar, Tim Jirak, MWB Neil Neddermeyer, WB Dale Lillevold, Curt Quast, Verl Raap

Our April stated meeting was opened on the 1st degree.  One of the highlights of the meeting was WB Dale receiving his past master’s pin.  Inspired by the receipt of the pin, our most Junior Past Master then went on to provide a great education presentation!

On April 10th Grand Lodge held a Membership Workshop it was attended by Brothers Tim Jirak, Larry Erickson and WB Dale Lillevold (who is on the Grand Lodge Committee that hosted the event).

Our April Breakfast Group had another great turnout.  We meet one Friday morning per month at the Original Pancake House.  This is open to all Masons, Friends and Family, we’d love to see you there!

Charlie, Mike and Lenny are busy working their magic for the French Toast Breakfast and Flower Sale.   Every year this event moves from concept to chaos and from chaos to order.  I believe that as long as I’m involved in the lodge I’ll be slightly in awe of this process.  Show up Sunday and help out!  It’s a great time to see the community and brothers.  Contact Charlie Leflar with questions.

The remainder of April, May and June are all shaping up to be busy months with a Fellow Craft Degree on April 21st, French Toast on April 25th ,  Master Mason Degree in May and The Grand Master’s visit for the June stated meeting.

Check out the calendar for more the full list of events, dates and times at: www.wayzatamason.org/Calendar1.htm

Beyond specific events we have a lot going on:

Work on the Mentorship Program is taking off under the leadership of Larry Erickson and Curt Quast has picked-up leading the Membership program and I’m sure both of them will be keeping Rob Miller (Communications Committee) busy as they continue to evolve their programs.

Being a part of one of these committees is a great way to be involved with the lodge – if you are interested contact the secretary or on of the committee heads!

Thank you Verl for setting this up!  If you have questions or comments about the facebook page contact the Admin Verl Raap.

 Fraternally Yours,

Andrew R Brennan
